Maine Sea Light candles are very lightly scented with a delicate “Ocean Breeze” aroma (unscented candles may also be ordered). Burning time averages three hours, and when the candle is gone, you can reuse the shell. Just place a tea light in the shell, or use it as a ring dish.
All candles are handmade using only eco-friendly soy wax. Unlike paraffin, which is a hydrocarbon made from petroleum, soy wax is a biodegradable vegetable product made from a renewable agricultural resource. It’s good for the environment and America’s soybean farmers!
Soy wax has a creamier, smoother texture than paraffin. It also has a lower melting point, which means soy candles burn cooler and thus longer. In addition, soy candles are cleaner, as they produce very little or no black soot. Soy wax is water-soluble, so if you should spill a little melted wax, it’s easy to clean from any surface simply with warm soapy water.
